Green Tea

If you’re looking for a healthy, less caffeinated beverage than coffee, green tea is a good alternative--it has less caffeine than both coffee and black tea and it tastes great.  Its real allure, though, lies in its high levels of vitamins and EGCG, an antioxidant professed to have cancer-fighting properties.   Other health benefits attached to green tea include its ability to lower total cholesterol, balance HDL/LDL levels, soothe rheumatoid arthritis, and protect against blood clots.  To take advantage of these health benefits, it is recommended to drink 3 to 5 cups daily.
