White Tea

Unlike black or green teas, white teas are harvested before the tea leaves mature and are quickly dried to inhibit the oxidation process.  In addition to a lighter presentation, low oxidation results in higher antioxidants and lower caffeine levels.  For this reason, white tea is considered by many to be the purest of teas.  For sure, it is a light, delicate tea that offers a healthy punch.  Health benefits attributed to white teas include lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, cancer prevention, improved bone density, healthy skin, and oral wellness.  To take advantage of these benefits, it is recommended to drink 2-4 cups daily.
